Hello fellow datanistas!
Have you ever found yourself frustrated with the slow build times of your continuous integration (CI) pipelines? I know I have, and I'm sure many of you can relate.
In this blog post, I explore a potential solution to this common problem. I've conducted an experiment with LlamaBot's CI system, switching from Miniconda to micromamba, and the results are quite promising. Not only did I notice a significant reduction in build and test times, but the final environment remained unchanged and all tests passed.
The primary win here comes from the built-in, turnkey caching of the entire environment, a stark contrast to the more complicated caching methods suggested by mambaforge.
If you're dealing with similar CI delays, I highly recommend giving my post a read (you can find it here).
If you find it helpful, please consider forwarding it to others who might benefit from it. As always, I appreciate your support and look forward to hearing your thoughts. Until next time, keep exploring and innovating!
Cheers,
Eric
